Repository files navigation

svn-status-uq-walk-threaded.py
==============================

I often have to access remote SVN repositories from home, and I find that the network connection chokes
when I operate simple SVN commands like "svn status -uq ." (especially over VPN) on a directory tree
containing anything more than, say, 25 files, and in general fails. This has been a source of great
frustration for me. And after a few times of this sort of thing happening, while this is not unexpected
anymore, it nevertheless is a cause for consternation. And this drove me to write this multi-threaded
python utility that walks the directory tree, and runs the "svn status -uq <dir name>" command with the
--depth option set to 'files' (meaning no sub-directories are considered for the "svn status" check.
(my work server prints out "xrdb: Can't open display ''" when one logins via ssh, and therefore the
grep -v to not display those lines).

I hope to add other svn commands I often have to use to get anything meaningful done when working from
home.
