This sounds a bit like lagging is the main thing that the test mode is known for...

I had a few alternatives in mind, whereas I preferred this one the most. It comes off as very prominent in the English phrase too in my opinion.

I would prefer any of these over the current choice tbh.
"has been known to" is not the same as "is known for" but the current translation is more similar to the latter than the former
